The Search page above shows the result of a fairly complicated search. The pages tells us that 21 statements were found that have the subject category of "Environment and Development," between the years of 1980 and 1995 (inclusive) and use the word "peace." Additionally, if you look at the title bar just above the statement list, you will see that the little arrow in the "Statement Title" section tells us that the statements are sorted by statement title. This sorting can be done for "Date," "Lang," and "Category." If you want to see the list sorted in reverse order, simply click on the bar a second time.

This search window is completely dynamic. This means that you do not have to return to the Home page to start a new search. If you wanted to see all the statements -- given the settings above -- you need only pick "All Categories", remove the date restriction, and clear the word "peace" from the search box.

Once you are done with creating a list of statements that match your criteria, you can start to explore the individual statements. When you click on any statement in the list, the system will pop up a box to the right of the statement title that will provide a summary of that statement. If the statement is of more interest, the next step is to read the statement. This is done by clicking on either the HTML (standard web page) or the PDF (Adobe PDF format).
